A-C Electric Company, Inc. is a South Carolina corporation specializing in electrical contracting.
The company’s office is located in Hollywood, South Carolina and employs approximately 60 employees and holds unlimited electrical contractor licenses in the states of South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina & Alabama.
Key personnel includes Carl Beck, founder/President, master electrician and license holder who has been in the electrical trade since 1969. A-C Electric also employs numerous superintendents who have 20+ years experience and has an excellent office staff.
We have completed an array of project types; such as grocery stores (including 45 Piggly Wiggly’s), schools, multi-family residential, office, retail, medical facilities, federal government projects in excess of one million dollars and for several years worked with a national sporting goods chain constructing retail stores in 22 states.
We have been in
business 36 years and have never failed to complete a project and have never had involvement/intervention from a bonding company.
Our company’s EMR is 1.07 We have not had a lost time case in the last five years.

North Charleston Creative Arts Elementary School (Charleston County
School District
General Scope of Construction Project: General power and lighting installation for new elementary school, approximately 87,000 SQFT. Specialty systems included are fire alarm and seismic systems.
Dorchester High School (New Ashley Ridge High School,
Dorchester School District Two)
General Scope of Construction Project: General power and lighting installation for new high
school, approximately 230,000 sq ft. Extensive ball field lighting and scoreboards. Special
systems, including, fire alarm, cable tray, empty conduits with pull strings for security,
communications, ETV including tower and generator for temporary ingress/egress lighting.
SC State Univ. Computer Science Complex
General Scope of Construction Project: General power and lighting installation for new 87,000 sq ft, three-story, engineering, math & computer science building. Special systems included are a fire alarm, generator, lightning protection, and seismic systems.
Buist Academy
General Scope of Construction Project: General power and lighting installation for renovation to a 21,000 sq ft existing 1921 building and construction of a new 68,000 sq ft addition.
MUSC College of Nursing
General Scope of Construction Project: General power and lighting installation for renovation.
MUSC Craniofacial
General Scope of Construction Project: Work included the upfit to approximately 11,000 square feet on the 2nd floor of the Basic Science Building at MUSC. The scope included interior renovations to create new laboratories and support spaces for the Craniofacial Biology Department.
MUSC Thurmond Gazes Building
General Scope of Construction Project: The project scope included the complete renovation of the entire 2nd floor of Thurmond Gazes Building, approximately 21,000 Sqft, to create faculty offices and supporting staff workstations.
